Happy Halloween

The best ghoulish-y song from my misspent youth: Elton John’s “Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding,” the opening track on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (1973).
And here’s the original studio version:

  1. I watched about 5:30 of the long version, it's pretty much the way I remember a band I used to hang out with playing it. I'm not sure if their musicianship or stagecraft was as good, but they had free drugs.

Are you familiar with his duet/concerts with Ray Cooper?

    1. Love Ray Cooper! I’ve seen some videos with Elton and Ray … and I’ve very envious of the fact that my wife (a) saw Eric Clapton without me; and (2) Ray Cooper was in his band at the time.

  2. Dave, you're one of the few people I know (and that number includes a shitload of musicians) who even know who Ray Cooper is.

The Youtube I've seen of him playing "Funeral for a friend" with Sir Reggie has him on kettle drums and then, after he tosses those bigass pompom drumsticks off the riser, on tambourine. He has serious orchesteral percussive chops and has been at the Royal Albert for pretty much everything that involved groups of brit rockers doin' charity shit.

  3. There isn't a right or wrong strategy to build a website. We now have sites in connection with one particular area of interest and also web pages with completely not related products and solutions. It’s seriously your choice which usually means you wish to move. One element though…you suggest Blog writer, so why do you spend money developing a .internet.. I’ve generally wondered if this ended up being significant. A reply can be great!
